Our menus are nutritionally balanced. Pomptonian keeps abreast of changing dietary requirements, as well as the changing regulations for the National School Lunch Program. Pomptonian is working with USDA approved software to analyze our menus, ensure compliance with new laws, and to make sure that menu selections meet certain nutritional standards. Pomptonian’s dietitian works hand-in-hand with each of our Food Service Directors to develop a menu that meets our stringent nutritional goals, while offering a variety of items that entice students to participate in the program each day. She works closely with school nurses to address the needs of students with special dietary requirements and develop custom solutions for each child so they can feel comfortable participating in the program. She also supervises analysis of the menus to ensure that they are offering a variety of healthy choices and meet critical nutrient standards.
