As a Pomptonian cashier your ability will be called upon to maintain all monetary transactions, recognize reimbursable meals in the National School Lunch and/or School Breakfast Program, interpret and record eligibility information at point of service, and be aware of the procedures approved of by the Bureau of Child Nutrition.

Cashiers may be called upon to assist with food preparation. You must be willing to back up other team members in their jobs and assist in any area. Cashiers should demonstrate a positive, upbeat attitude and deliver superior customer service. Take part in annual continuing education/training program.
Ability to stand for long periods of time. Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, lifting (25-50 pounds). Ability to use general cafeteria equipment (e.g. warmer, fryer, slicer, grill, POS system, etc.). Ability to come to work promptly and regularly. Ability to take direction and work well with others. Ability to accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes. Ability to concentrate and perform duties accurately. Ability to learn and apply policies and procedures.
