The students of Lincoln Park Elementary School have been working on renaming their cafeteria.  The students came up with suggestions for the name and then selected as their final choice “COOL KIDS CAFÉ”.

On Monday, February 1st, students participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony and this was their first opportunity to see their newly designed cafeteria featuring their custom sign and other nutritional décor.  Ms. Grillo, the school’s principal has been working closely with all the classroom teachers on this project.  This project is designed to encourage students to think about the importance of nutrition in their lives.  The décor package has inspirational messages reminding its audience to make healthy life style choices.

This promotional event was spearheaded by Pomptonian Food Service who provides food service for the Lincoln Park School District as well as over 70 other school districts in New Jersey.  Pomptonian and the Lincoln Park School District have continually sought creative new ways to encourage healthy life style choices for all the students throughout the District.
